Do you Need Time to BE Refreshed and Fired up Again?

Do you ever get tired and feel like you are going nowhere? Could it be that you haven’t created time for YOU to get refreshed and inspired again? I mean as in fired up again.

Think about it, when your car runs for a couple of miles, you take it to the garage for service. Don’t you think your body needs the same? I thought so.

Last week I had so many balls to juggle - appointments to fulfill, a workshop to run and work books to develop. At one time, I really felt like my tank was running low. Until just…

Yes, until just this week on Saturday when I chose to take it slow. I went to post office, picked my mail, had one meeting, dropped off my girl friend (yes, just in case you were wondering, I also have one :-) Had a good meal – vegetable curry and mashed potatoes and finally had a good rest of almost 7 hours. As of this writing, I feel good. I am in good moods right now. I have another workshop tomorrow and I feel ready for it. Excited about it and I believe largely contributed by yesterday’s ‘taking it slow’

Sometimes, doing nothing means accomplishing a lot in the long haul. If you don’t take time off to re-energize and refresh your body, spirit and mind because you are busy is like saying you won’t pass by the gas station to refuel because you still have along distance to cover. Either way, reality will catch up with you. The car will finally stop on the way. In the human experience, the mind or body will shut down.

Action points
1. Set at least 4 hours a week where you do nothing but things that refresh or inspire you mind, body and spirit.
2. Exercise. It will keep your system in shape
3. End each day with something relaxing – music, meditation, a walk…

Catch you again when you are feeling well, better and stronger!
