The notion of compassion. How compassionate are you?
We all compassionate at heart in one way or another. I mean at the core of who we really are. You will find a child and feel a warm feeling when she smiles. You feel pity when she cries and you can’t wait to go out of your way no matter what you are doing and help. When you pass by a beggar and give him money you feel good. When you pass by without giving him anything you feel pangs of guilt or you will send a silent prayer to the same guy.
We all have that innate capacity to be compassionate. It’s part of who we are. We are wired for it. Exercise it. It feels good. It reveals your humanity and essence of your spirituality. We are all connected at a certain level. You would have exercised your humane-ness which is part and parcel of who you are.
It’s an incredible feeling when you exercise your essence. Go do something out of your compassionate self and you’ll feel good about yourself and the person you are directing your compassion to will feel good too. In a sense, both of you will feel joyous.
I send you a prayer of joy infused with compassion. May you be well. May you enjoy love. May you celebrate your abundance. May you remember and remain in a state of joy. May you share your peace with others. May you spread compassion.
