High standards is worth it
To keep high standards is the question. But when looked at closely, it’s one of the keys to great performance.
You need to commit to something and know that you won’t go below a certain level. When you do, your psyche will know what level of performance you are expecting and people around you also know how to relate to you or how to not relate to you. That will save you a lot of time and effort to undo what people are saying or not saying or doing or not doing.
But the most important of all is that as a divine being, you are meant to manifest greatness. And that means anything below excellence is not a reflection of who you are. You don’t feel good about yourself. You don’t feel proud about you. You feel like something is missing. But then, when you accomplish something of greatness, there is a sense of congruence. You feel like it’s a reflection of who you are and you really feel proud about you. That’s much better, isn’t it?
Looked at in another way, life is not worth living in a mediocre way. Set high standards for yourself in the areas of finances, health, spirituality, relationships, career and all areas of your life and it will be worth the journey.
